Windshield and Car Window Replacement in Charlotte, NC

It depends on the damage. A long crack, or one in the driver's line of sight, blocks your view and is not worth the risk. The windshield is also a structural part of the vehicle, so damaged glass leaves the frame weaker in a serious accident. If you cannot see the road clearly, do not drive.

It tends to finish the job. Glass expands in heat and direct sun, so a chip that made it through a North Carolina winter can run on the first hot afternoon, especially when you cool the cabin down fast with the air conditioning. Park in shade where you can, and treat a surviving chip as borrowed time.

Stress cracks form with no impact, usually starting at the windshield's edge and working inward. Temperature swings, vibration, and pressure cause them, and Charlotte weather swings hard in both directions between seasons. Edge cracks grow faster than damage in the center because the perimeter is the least supported area of the glass.

A chip repair can be done in as little as 30 minutes. A replacement takes longer, and calibration can add time since every vehicle has its own requirements. Your technician gives you the safe wait before driving based on conditions that day. The adhesive typically takes 24 to 48 hours to fully set.

All major credit and debit cards, auto insurance, and a Buy Now, Pay Later option through Zip. Cash is accepted for in-shop service only, since mobile technicians cannot accept it. Partial payments and personal checks are not accepted, and any deductible is paid before work begins. There is also a price match guarantee.
