San Antonio Auto Glass Repair FAQ
How can I protect my windshield from hail in San Antonio?
Covered parking is the best protection. When that is not an option, a padded hail cover, heavy blankets or tarps secured with bungee cords, floor mats, or thick cardboard all put a buffer over the glass. Watch the Texas forecast, avoid driving into a storm, and make sure your policy includes hail coverage.
How fast can I get a windshield replaced after a storm in San Antonio?
Auto Glass Now offers same-day and next-day service, though a large hail event across Texas fills schedules quickly. Get a quote online or by phone as soon as you spot the damage. We handle the insurance claim from start to finish, so booking does not have to wait on your insurer.
What should I do if hail breaks a window on my vehicle in San Antonio?
Cover it temporarily, and only while parked. Plastic sheeting, temporary window film, a heavy-duty garbage bag, or a cut plexiglass panel all work as stopgaps. Wear gloves and eye protection, vacuum out the fragments, and clear loose glass from the frame. Never drive with a covering over a window, since it blocks your view.
How long does the work take, and when can I drive?
A chip repair can be done in as little as 30 minutes. A replacement takes longer, and calibration can add time since every vehicle has its own requirements. Your technician gives you the safe wait before driving based on conditions that day. The adhesive typically takes 24 to 48 hours to fully set.
What payment options does Auto Glass Now accept?
All major credit and debit cards, auto insurance, and a Buy Now, Pay Later option through Zip. Cash is accepted for in-shop service only, since mobile technicians cannot accept it. Partial payments and personal checks are not accepted, and any deductible is paid before work begins. There is also a price match guarantee.
What areas around San Antonio does this location cover?
The San Antonio shop is an easy drive from Alamo Heights, Leon Valley, Timberwood Park, Helotes and Boerne, and the communities in between. You can get a quote and book online or by phone, and same-day or next-day appointments are often available. Mobile repair and replacement are offered across the service area listed on this page.
Customer Reviews
The service we received at Auto Glass Now was superior. Our front windshield was hit by a rock on the highway and Auto Glass Now was recommended by our Insurance company. We were received with courtesy and made an appointment for the next day. I had a few questions about salvaging our state sticker and the gentleman went out to our car and explained everything. The next day we picked up our car and everything was completed perfectly. I also received a military discount for my prior service. I highly recommend this firm.
Jean Shelstad,Angel and his technician provided top-notch service! They were professional, kind, and extremely efficient. I dropped off my car after lunch and got it back before the day was over. Quick turnaround and great customer service. Give them a try!
Hi Thai,From the moment I went in until I left everyone was very professional. I would highly recommend this business. All the appraisal and service were accurate. I loved the follow up email on what not to do having a new windshield. For example, they said I was not to wash my car for several days and not to slam the doors. I have only good things to say about them. Also their price was more reasonable than that business that comes to your house to install windshields. Their price was nearly twice the amount. Thank you guys.
Rosa Cantu,I had a great experience with Auto Glass Now on Starlite Drive in San Antonio. They came to my home to replace the windshield on my 2023 Toyota 4Runner and arrived right at the scheduled appointment time. The technician got to work immediately, removed the old windshield, installed the new one, and completed the calibration in less than 45 minutes. The entire process was fast, professional, and hassle-free. Excellent service and convenience—I would definitely recommend Auto Glass Now to anyone needing windshield replacement or repair.
Ronald Foster,A huge thank you to Sonia in customer service and to Angel who installed my window regulator. From the moment I called to set the appointment to checking in and installation I felt like a priority at Auto Glass Now: they really valued me as a customer, which was different from a lot of other places I called.
