Cover it temporarily, and only while parked. Plastic sheeting, temporary window film, a heavy-duty garbage bag, or a cut plexiglass panel all work as stopgaps. Wear gloves and eye protection, vacuum out the fragments, and clear loose glass from the frame. Never drive with a covering over a window, since it blocks your view.

Only temporarily. Clear tape over the damage keeps dirt and moisture out while preserving visibility, parking in shade limits the temperature swing, and driving gently around Pine Bluff potholes and speed bumps reduces flex. These are stopgaps rather than fixes. A professional repair or replacement is the only real solution.

It depends on the damage. As general guidance, a chip smaller than a quarter that has not started to spider, with no more than three chips total, is often repairable. Longer cracks, larger damage, or damage sitting in the driver's line of sight usually calls for replacement. Auto Glass Now in Pine Bluff inspects the damage for free and gives you an honest recommendation either way.
