Chattanooga Auto Glass Repair FAQ
How do Tennessee ice storms affect windshield damage?
Freezing rain is harder on glass than steady cold. Ice forms in and around an existing chip and the pressure works the crack open, then a mild afternoon swings the temperature back the other way. Chattanooga runs through that cycle repeatedly each winter, which is why small chips so often fail between December and March.
Can I still get mobile service in the Chattanooga area?
Most Auto Glass Now locations offer mobile repair and replacement at your home or workplace. Weather decides the day, since adhesives cure best under certain conditions and rain, freezing temperatures, or high humidity can make outdoor work impossible. When that happens we reschedule or bring the vehicle into the Chattanooga shop.
What is the safest way to clear ice off my windshield here?
A plastic scraper with the defroster running. Caught without one, the defroster with the visors flipped down, a flat plastic card, tepid water, or a de-icer spray all work. Never use hot water, and never scrape aggressively. Both are common ways a Chattanooga winter morning turns into a replacement.
Is the work covered by a warranty?
Yes. Auto Glass Now provides a lifetime warranty on windshield repairs and replacements against leaks, molding issues, and glass defects, for as long as you own or lease the vehicle. It covers defects in workmanship and materials, and it does not transfer if you sell the vehicle. Some conditions apply, and your local store can confirm the details.
Can Auto Glass Now fix a window broken in a break-in?
Yes. We repair and replace glass after a break-in or vandalism, including windshields, rear windows, and side glass. Document the damage with photos, file a police report, and contact your insurer, since comprehensive coverage rather than liability is generally what applies to this kind of damage. Cover the opening while parked until your appointment.
Does the Chattanooga shop serve nearby towns?
Yes. Our Chattanooga location is a short drive from East Ridge, Middle Valley, Soddy-Daisy, Dalton and Cleveland, and the surrounding communities. Walk-ins are welcome, though booking ahead is better since service depends on scheduling and glass availability that day. For mobile repair or replacement, check the service area listed on this page.
Customer Reviews
To be honest, I originally went with another company based on name recognition. They did not show up and claimed they had the wrong number. I went online and Found Auto Glass Now. From my initial phone call I was treated with respect and felt the representative was really concerned with my feelings. I was able to set an appointment for the next day. I was given a time frame, I received a call and the technician arrived on time. Unfortunately, it was raining and asked if we could go to the store's location and he would take care of me. I got in my van and David had taped up the holes in the windshield. When I got to the location, David was waiting with the windshield ready to install. I waited in the waiting room and less than an hour I was done and paid for the work. I was very happy with the service and would highly recommend Auto Glass Now to everyone!
David Israel - Living A Fun Life,The Chattanooga branch had all the good qualities to receive a five-star rating: flawless SMS service, a centralized office, a local presence and seamless scheduling. Jesse was my tech and he was knowledgeable and has good communication skills. He quickly repaired a windshield chip, and it was superior to another repaired about five years ago by another outfit. One last, but not the least benefit is that they are very price competitive. Skip Safelite, and give this branch of Auto Glass Now a try.
Thomas Sprimont,I'm writing to give a shout out to Laura at Auto Glass Now. She took great care of us, got us in the same day we called, and was a good communicator. On top of that, their pricing was very competitive. The overall experience exceeded our expectations. Thank you Laura and team. Keep up the good work!
David Jensen,I would Highly recommend Auto Glass Now to family n friends . The technicians are outstanding with the work that was needed on my Kia Sorento. They replaced on both front n back glass. They also carry top name wiper blades. I was in and out in 2hrs. Thank you for your perfected service!!
Tonia Gibson,Great people to work with. I don't remember the name of the guy that came out, but he was really nice and very perfessional. They also had the best rates. My windshield is fix, before the rain starts on Saturday.
